I got a stock 2003 300ex.My friend has a stock 2004 Z250.He sais they are just a little different he sais he keeps up..Ive drag raced him over and over again ive raced him around a huge development which i won by a mile.He always has a excuse.I ride his quad a lot too just messin around it doesnt wheelie its auto clutch and it loses power wen it shifts.He keeps tellin me mine and thats muhc better than his.Someone plz tell him the truth becaues he wont listen to me.And he sais the Z400 is better than the 400Ex.

 

Um,actually the z400 is better (according to all the magazine shootouts) than the 400ex.In my opinion it is just personal preference.The z250 will wheelie just fine.My wife has a 250ex and if it will wheelie,the z250 will too.

 

Ya, your friend doesn't know what he's talkin bout. Those 250's are gutless unless your young and need something really easy to ride. The auto clutch systems are horrible for sport quads, ruins all the fun. The Z400 is better than the 400ex by a good margin IMO.

but,,,,generally speaking the z400 is a better bike than the 400ex

But ill still take the ex

 

the z is basically a 400ex with a few extra ponies

 

A Z400 will kill a 400EX, and with a hydralic clutch kit the Z250 wheelies and goes like hell. And I haven't had a problem losing power on mine when shifting. You just need to know how to shift it.
