I rode a Cannondale Speed today and.... WOW!!!!!
#1
My cousin is trying one out from a friend because he's probably gonna trade his quad for it. he brought it to my house today and I rode it. I have never ridden ANYTHING like it! You crack the throttle and it wants to turn itself inside out! I thought my DS was fast but I'm afraid that Speed would eat it alive... I never rode any Cannondale before untill today and I WANT ONE!! I don't care if they went out of business I REALLY like the Cannondale speed! I never ridden anything that had a lot of torque but rev like you wouldn't believe! How much do you think I could get one for now? I know I should be posting these questions on the Cannondale forum but I know there is some knowledgable people here. Are they fairly reliable?..... If any dealer around here gets one to sell I want to trade my DS in on one!...

Just t athought but maybe your quad needs to be tuned a little. I raced one at Dumont and it did beat me but not by much. Then again for 11 grand price tag on the Cannondale I didnt feel bad.

...They all dont coast 11 G's the Moto was 12 to 13..The Blaze was 9 i think?..The Speed was 7'500 to 8 and the Canable was 6 something??..If you learn whats differnt about all of them what they have and dont have you'll understand why the price. But now i think you can get a Speed for around 4 to 5 G's????
The Speed is a step up from the bottom Cann. It has Ohlins, Tag bars, Hydraulic clutch,Holeshots..And top end power for days. For a stock quad its very hard to beat..as of now the yamaha is the closest. From what i can tell??
Iv never heard of a Cann bending an axle,or breaking a frame.Or blowing a Trans .As far as it being reliable..it takes a little work but can be done for around 300$ ?? or so..Go to Cannondaleriders or Cannondaler and youll learn a lot about makeing it reliable and your good to go..
Plus ATK bought some of Cannon and are makeing parts, and going to make then again i think sometime next year??

they are neat but the way you ride you might want to keep the tank wait till the new maker has them then it will be easier to get the parts for repair.

i've rode my friends and they are fast but he has also had his frame repaired a few times. they are built light and the frame isn't really weak but it's not over built like some of the other quads. the DS has a frame like a tank!

Why is my Speed not as fast?? It is all stock and can barely beat a stock Raptor, and my Z440 will absolutely rape my Speed!!! I agree they are quick but many quads like the Rap, DS, YFZ (which is faster) can keep up. Maybe I need a pipe...I dunno!
