KFX 700 & Paddles...couple questions........
#1
I am new to the paddle tire thing. I have heard that the 22x11x10 Haulers are the way to go for racing and hillclimbing. Then I have heard the you can not turn/slide well with them due to the straight paddle design. I would like to climb anything, show the power of the V and play around at the dunes. Which tire is best for me? Hauler or something like a Sand-Star (V pattern)? Can someone give me the lowdown on paddles? Thanks guys.

I just got a new V force also and I just bought a Pair of Sand stars I was at the Dune for Halloween and I really like them. They dune very well and I didnt have a problem going up any hill. What i did notice though, is when you are going slow and turning around the front tires tend to push sand a little rather than turn right away. My next investment will be Front sand stars. I would think that haulers would make it harder to turn.
Other than that, I love the way My V Force dunes. And Yes, I did beat stock Raptors and some piped raptors up the hill.

24x11x10 Skat Trak Extremes with 9 paddles on 11 inch wide rims are the only way to go in the Sand. They will run you some where around $385. Call Skat Trak and ask for Larry, he will hook you up.

I'm going to pipe in here, Skat-Trak makes a V-blade paddle called the edge. I run these on my V and love them. They pull nearly as well as the haulers, and turn great as well. My experience with molded paddle tires(i.e. Sand Stars, Geckos, ETC) is that they are heavy and don't float or hook up as well as any of the Skat-Traks. If you are going to get the paddles, you may as well spend a few extra bucks and get the best.

I had the geckos on mine and first and I was gettin creamed by a stock 400ex.. I have the 22x11x10 10 paddle extremes and love them.. I wouldnt waist my money on anything else. Im thinking about going to the 24's now. And my v doesnt turn worth a crap in the sand, with or without front sand tires..
