polishing axle

Default polishing axle

ok i bent my last axle that was chrome, is a stock axle stainless steel and can it be polished to a bright polish

you can polish most any metal to a bright finish. But the stock axle is steel, therefore will rust before it even gets back on the trailer. Your best bet is to paint, powdercoat, or chrome it again

how much would you say it would cost to chrome it any ideas
i don't think i evertold you thanx dabeech you helped me rebuild my quad and helped me with a lot of questions

hey now, thanks for the kind words.

Chroming all depends on your chromer. You can polish your axle and he should drop a few bucks off the price because he wont have to do it. The guy would probably get you for 80-120 bucks roughly. Your looking at 50 bucks or so for powdercoating

what would you suggest doing don't have the money for a lonestar or durablue what about chramic coating how much does that run any idea do you have and extra axles

i know of a few stocker axles laying around.

There is a durablue axle on ebay right now for 127 bucks last time i checked. Look it up. If not i can get you a pretty good deal on a LS axle

well im a little biased. I like my LS stuff because they treat me good. If your serious about mxing though i hear there are better axles out there.
