what does turning your front wheels around do? I see you have it listed on your list. The 300ex in stock form is a great machine to learn on. But you have to understand, the 300ex has ALOT of potential. Cstark has the most trick 300ex i have ever seen. I even hear it can whip a stock 400ex (
). My 300ex is not quite as modified as chris's but almost there.

1995 300ex with:
Suppertrappe pipe, suppertrappe silencer, Dg nerfs, Dg Bumper and Grab bar, Baja Skid plate (rear), K&N air filter (removed air lid sometimes), front/rear XCT holeshot tires, Douglas .190 rims, 3-angle valve job, Trail Porting and polished, Complete Gasket set, Varsha Clutch kit, High Prof. Weisco piston, Cylinder bore 10cc. ...other dumb stuff: Removed handlebar plastic, key switch remounted on left side of gas tank.
Sucks, im still not as trick as Cstarks

300exster: turning the front wheels around gives you about 2 1/2 inches on each side. its not really a mod but I listed it. it helps the handling. later

The 300EX is definetly a better beginner quad. If you have not riden much or any before, you will not want a 400EX. The 300EX has a pretty mellow stock engine, but has a lot of potential. If you want more power on down the road after you have it for a while, there are quite a few things that can be done. If you pick the right modifications, they should give the 300 enough power to suit you.
