Who has bored and ported a V-force?
#1
I think that i am going to buy a v-force shortly. I plan on taking it down from the get go and bore it, install some custom pistons, have the cams re-welded and re ground and get Jerry at craycraft to port and polish it. So those that have build up a v-force where are the weak areas? I have some ideas that have been given to me on the rear part of the quad from some forum members. So what do you think? I am putting my 03 raptor back together this week and after i sell it and my kids 250ex a v-force with the red lava looking plastic will be in the garage.

A fellow at Dalton clutch told me that porting his V made a bigger change in power than changing the cams did.
I would suggest you increase the strength of the rear motor mounts while you have the engine out.
( I have heard that some guys are cracking the rear mounts. )
I also suggest that you install a Dalton over drive clutch plate, weights, and springs.

Glad to hear your getting a V, I know you'll find out how fast one is will really go.
I know Mickey has plenty of 785's around. How big are you going??
Can Bob come up with something bigger??

v-forcer- I have already done some checking around with dalton. Thanks

I just put a 750 kit into an '02 Prairie, & flowed the heads... there is not much room in the stock jugs to go much bigger ( doesn't mean that some other jugs couldn't be machined to fit the ATV V twin though ) good luck, & let me know if I can be of assistance...WAM

Alltoys- I am keeping my built raptor and selling the other one. I do not see the need to have 2 raptors for one person. I want a v-force for my back-up and for the kid to ride

hehe, don't let airraptor find this post....lol. I think its cool that your getting a Kawi. You may soon be using the Rappy as a backup and the Kawi as your main drag machine, its has that much potential. Ask alltoys, he has done some great things with this motor. Good luck and have fun when you get the big Kawi.

14mins,
I think you will be interested in the Kawi when you start to play with it. I have been looking into adapting another jug/head from another bike to transfer onto the Kawi in the 1200cc catagory. The bottom end will hold up to the extra ponys I have injected enough horsepower into the 650 to destroy it several times over. You will like it the more you play with it. I do beleive Comet clutchs is coming on board to change clutching on the Kawi so this is a big advantage hopefully something to change the angle of the helix would be a great help. Welcome aboard I know you will enjoy the Kawi motor.
