I have an old set of golf cart tires from an early project, and would like to know if anyone
has ever tried putting them on a quad , just to keep from thrashing ther yard.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

If the bolt pattern is the same then go for it.

 

They won't hold up in the same way a quad tire would. Don't be doing any jumps.

 

Thats ok, I dont think it will work anyway.
the lugs line up, but the brakes may get in the way. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Scaboy have you ever seen those hard surface kits in Dennis Kirk? They are 14 inch wheels with all season radial auto tires. They recomend them for golf courses and quads that never see the mud or offroad. I'd say they would be easy on your grass.

 

I believe the Ford 4 lug bolt pattern works on like a Yamaha - I think I saw a guy running some Ranger wheels on a quad once at a swap meet.

 

In the early days of ATV racing, they were using golf cart and lawn mower tires.
Super Turf, Turf Tamer, Multi Trac, Softrac.
Turf meant grass.
I can scan some pics if you want.

 

Look at some lawnmower tires some time, they look perfect [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Would be great for tearing up the yard spinning the tires.
