Default Need Banshee Carbs Advice

Hello All, I am brand new to this website and have found some great tips and advise and need some more. I am looking for advise for which carbs to put on the freshly modded banshee, or if I should just stay with the stockers. I have a 96 shee that is 0.060 over, mild head milling and mild porting, Toomy T5's. I mostly ride the quad on the dunes, but do a little open trail riding too. Now I need carbs, I have read good/bad things about the 34mm PJ's and 28mm PWK's, so I don't know where to start. I do know that I don't want to be fouling plugs like crazy!!! Any suggestions.

Thanks!

Marty

The stockers should work fine for your mods, but if you want to go up get the 28's unless you are all out drag racing.

They will keep the velocity up and help a bit with the lower end.

That would be my advice.

I would have to agree with Batoutahell. I had the stock 26s with all my mods and I went to the 28s and put Toomey needles in them and noticed a decent improvement. They would be everything you need for the riding you are into.

Thanks for the replies...I have been leaning towards the 28's and now it looks like I am going to go with the Keihin 28mm PWK's. Thanks for the help!

Marty, I would just stick with the stock carbs. Make sure and use a toomey needle. If you really want 28's just bore out the stock carbs, its only like $60. Otherwise use 34 pj's on alky.

35.5 mikuni is the only carb to use if you want a fast shee!
