I have a friend that is kinda low on cash and got a good deal on a 300ex. I was wondering if it would be too small for him. He is 200 lbs. and 5'10". He will just be riding around the farm and trail riding some. Doesn't want anything slow slow but wan't enough power. The 300 ex has a K&N Filter and Pipe on it. I have never rode a 300 before, how does it compare to the Warrior?

 

Well, it seems that for his size, if he wants to ride somewhat aggressivly, that it will be too small. But if he wants to just putt around on it, it should be good

 

Is this basically hist first quad? If so, it's a great starter quad, but he's going to want to advance to something more soon after he rides it!

well im a 100lb and going for the 400ex

 

I'm 6'1" 205 and felt perfectly comfortable riding my brother in law's 300EX. It was the 1st manual clutch quad I'd ever ridden. It has the standard filter & pipe upgrades and I was quickly all over the rev limiter and wanting more. There should be lots of good deals to be had on a used 400EX.

 

I'm 5-9. 190 and wouldn't go any smaller than a Warrior for size/power. A 300ex is close but he will get bored of it soon...
