who is going to lead the pack into 2001?

is the raptor too skinny, is the honda too slow,
is the FX400 going to be a monster or is Hondas predicted new 650 goning to claim hondas terf back .
I hope the new honda racer can be a monster motor packed into the 400EX frame that would be sweet!!!

What do you think?

as much time as the cannondale people are takin for r&d on thier quad i'm gambling to say they will lead the pack into 2001......IF the 400fx is released by then. if not the raptor will be a force to be reconed with.

I think Yamaha with the better name recognition and the 660r will blow people away but I am personally more excited about the Cannondale. Around here that machine will be the one to beat and it sounds like it will scream, and a bunch of new technology to boot. The good times are here again YEEEHAAAA!!!!

I think if honda makes a 650ex in the 400ex frame with reverse that should take all as long as its liquid cooled and has more hp than the cannondale. If the cannondale had reverse that would be the sickest quad ever.how come the 400 ex has only 28 hp and the cannondale has 45- 50?? If honda can make a liquid cooled 650 and pack hp into it that should be like 70 hp.or more so if honda makes that, that should lead the way once again if not it should be the cannondale.

Thanks for your opinions. The good times are here again! The question why does cannondale have 45 horses under that sweet frame is for a couple reasons:

first of all this thing is fuel injected, uping the hp. a bunch. The next big factor is the reversed cylinder which shortens the pipe about 1 ft. and shortens the air intake a bunch also. So that is why it is so powerful.

All i can say is WOW! This thing has just raised the stake a few notches in the 400 class!!!

Keep those opinions coming!!!

The Cannondale is only going to make about 38 hp stock. They may offer optional kits to bring it up to 45-50hp. Only time will tell. Also reverse gear on a quad which is aimed dierctly at a race track would be a bad idea.(in my humble opinion) I feel that reverse gear belongs on a sport quad not a racer. Think about it, if your machine weighs close to 400 lbs you probably need reverse, If it is closer to 330, no problem to hop of and aim it in right direction.
