I been needing to jet the craptor, but haven't gotten the chance. Pretty soon I might go up to TheRaptorMan's house and let him work on my raptor to get the jetting right. Or I will take it to Yamaha PowerSports in Hurricane to let them work on it. But lately I just been hill climbing and that is it.
I need to add some performance mod's to my Raptor before summer, and probaly put some new/better clutches in it. I got some plans for the rappy. So it should be running good by summer.

have you tried a gearing change?
my friend has the alba pipe.......and a pro flow with K&N
he wants to cut the air box completely off like I used to have mine.........jet it up.......and run 14\40 gearing.........
do you think he could pull it?
would it be quicker in a 300' drag?

i think he should go down to a 12/40 gearing, and with the low end torque take off in second. that would quicken his time.
i ran a 13/40 with mine and got 5.7 and consistent 5.8's
but my air pressure had me screwed up. i was standing up off the line cause i missed practice. but taking the box off, jetting up, and using the 12/40 with the right air pressure could be a awesome holeshot in 2nd gear.

that's what I told him.......but he thinks that since I run 15/40 gearing......then he thinks he can run 14/40
I told him to try the 12/40, but he won't.........
he doesn't do much race'n........he does dirt road and county road ride'n.......basically like me......
I can't even launch in 2nd with my gearing(15/40)..........it feels like the time that I tried to launch 3rd with the 12/40 gears.......LoL
it takes A LOT of clutch.....LoL

damn, with high gears like that i wouldn't even think of trying to launch in 2nd. lol
i still have stock gearing, but i have a 12 for when i have to lug on hill climbs. lol
my 13/40 gearing is fine with me for now. i even race some people around here and my gearing works good. the 22's on the back screw with me some with the gearing, but with 20's it works great.
i run 20's racing, and i had some good runs. 5-0 and won the stock raptor division.
alba definetly helped me, and ruled that event on my bike. lol.

I don't really like it.........it makes it feel weak.......LoL......doesn't pull as hard as the smaller gears.........
but it still pulls waaaaaaaaaaay harder than it did b4........when I put my extended swingarm on (end of the weeK) I will change to 14/40.......that will make the 2nd gear launch much easier......
I raced a mustang with this gearing and SPANKED it.......

my truck runs like a 15.5 and he beat me by A BUMPER when I was in my truck with the craptor in the bed..............
