yamaha extended warrenty!!!
#1
Well I got the final word from yamaha, after i got the dealer to talk w/ the service manager and call yamaha, talk to two different techs, their not paying any more then parts. So im stuck w/a $460 labor charge because "they took care of me so good the first time." All they had to do was pay labor, I had to pay for the tranny upgrade. So I went down after work to the dealer, which he knows me pretty good, I've bought 4 new bikes from there in a six year period. So we sat down and i told him I want to trade it in, right off the bat he offered me a $3400 trade in for the '01 raptor and knocked $400 off the price of a '04 red&white banshee, so i could see he was at least willing to deal with me. I wound up getting $500 off showroom price and $3500 trade in, $200 cash back from yamaha, for not using the 3or6 month no finance charge. So over all for the tranny work and an'04 shee to get away from anymore engine problems, I't will cost me about $2600. So know I just have to figure out if its worth my time and effort to take yamaha to small claims court for not covering their warrenty.
