Tire Size effect wheelies?

Default Tire Size effect wheelies?

Hey all I have the 13t sprocket and 22inch tires....I can wheelie by gunnin the throttle in first no prob and I can bring her up in second by goin half throttle, and then gunnin it.....if I switch to 20inch tires.....will it be easier to wheelie?

in your case, traction is as important as the final gear ratio... a 20" tire will have a marginally smaller contact patch, but a lower gear ratio... you don't mention what kind of tires you are using, & what kind of surface you are launching off of... if you select a better tread pattern ( if possible ), for the surface you are launching off of, you will likely wheelie easier... otherwise, you may just spin more, requiring more body english to pull it up...

along the same lines as newbeatle was saying....in theory a smaller rear tire should mean easier wheelies....though typically most people on quads are riding on a surface where traction can be a problem so in that case a bigger tire could actually be better. Lets just say you ride on pavement....a 2" difference in tire size really won't be very noticable...at least that is my experience.
