I found a new rattle today. At first I thought it was one of the heat shields on the exhaust pipe....might have been, a little. Lost a screw a while ago on the longer hear shield, added a washer to tighten it up and the rattle/vibration quieted a little.

But the more I revved the more I heard another one. Found it, fixed it, but am baffled as to why it was there.

Bear with the description....Where the exhaust pipe bends, just aft of the smaller heat shield, it goes over the tranny (I think). Here, when the RPMs get high enough, the pipe touches this case and it vibrates. I checked all the bolts and springs on the pipe and they are good to go. To fix it I used a big hose clamp up around the frame to pull the pipe up about 1/8". Vibration/Rattle gone....temporairly I imagine.

Anyone else seen this?
