My '96 SP500 has been acting up lately, not wanting to "pick up" until its been running a while, and also not wanting to cut off when it's (engine) cold...Now this morning I'm out tweaking my new DG pipe and it does the same thing, won't kill when you turn off the switch. I usually just flip the choke and it'll flood out, but today it wouldn't quit for nothing...I had to turn the fuel off to get it to die. Then, I notice all this fuel coming out of the overflow...its never done this before.

Could this be a carb problem (I've thought it was an electrical/stator problem) or is this excess fuel because it wouldn't cut off. I'm hung up here. Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Todd "BIG DADDY" Irvin

This could be a combination of things; however, Start with repairing your float in your carb. It is apparantly sticking.
