I few months ago I was in the same situatution. I cut down my fender, above the crack, intsead of replacing. It looks pretty cool too.

FYI, just in case anyone was wondering, I priced the new Limited Edition (Carbon Fiber looking) Plastic, and Kawi wants a wopping $1003 and some change for the complete plasics.

I just put a pic of the V w/ the fenders cut on my page. There are a few more @ Cental PA ATV's. (just hit the link) I cut the front down quite a bit, and trimmed the edge of the rear.
$1003 for plastic is sick!
