my wifes 02 tb250 has the blue polaris clutch spring in it but it still gets smoked by our sons 02 250ex should this be happening or does my TB not run right ?

 

well crazypainter the spring along doesn't do much cause in stock form on both machines the 250ex quicker,you need an exhaust,clutch kit to match it and a aftermarket air filter.Then you would kill the ex in a drag and beat on top end.

 

Once you put on a pipe and clutch kit then the 250ex will get smoked. Yes the ex will win in stock form. the ex is also 100lbs lighter and the TB being automatic wont get the jump on the ex. There is tons of potential in the TB250. Just a little cash and it can be a whole different machine.

 

It would still have to be quiet for the wife and not real pricey any suggestions?

 

clutch kit would probably be one of the cheaper ways to go.if you do a search on the forum I am sure you can find some other info on it...I dont remmeber exactly who makes it but do a search for a stage one kit (Rick Ritter makes it I think) you guys can correct me if I am wrong.
