Not sure how good of quality chrome you will find without having it professionaly chromed yourself. Most manufactures don't want to add the extra cost to their product to have a concours chrome finish however check out LRD their chrome is some of the best I have seen.

This topic has been covered more than a few times on this forum. Just do a search for it. I am in the same situation you are. Im tired of my old leaking FMF pipe. I am probably going with an ESR 5 pipe when I get my motor back together. Seems to be pretty popular on this forum. There are some other goods brands, but since yours is slightly modded, I wouldnt go with nothing to drastic. Paul Turner also makes some good pipes, a friend has one on his R, but his has a few more mods than yours does.
My 2 cents.......
Should be getting my frame back from powdercoating, and then the rebuild process begins......

I like the esr pipe. i ran a paul turner eliminator pipe on an '86 and it really lost a LOT of low end. it is not really a better "all around pipe." There are better ones. I also had an fmf fatty pipe and it ran really all through out.
