Which do you guys use for injuries...I can't take anything except Celebrex, but the stuff costs more than illegal drugs at this point...does anyone have any other suggestions for pain/swelling for post surgery?

Try using good old Motrin(ibuprofen). Works wonders. Flexeril works mainly on muscle skeletal pain. Vicodin is good for pain, but not so good for inflammation. Celebrex is good, but expensive. Here are some others in the same class: Motrin, Indocin, Naprosyn, Tylenol etc.

I was only joking about my statement... By all means STAY AS FAR AWAY from oxycontin as you can... I know people who's lives are ruined from getting addicted and selling everything they own for oxycontin.... It's not even thier fault either, the doc prescribed it to them for pain and then took it away from them when they got addicted..... And at $100 a pill on the street, you don't make it too far without selling EVERYTHING you own just so you're not sick.....

Sorry got a little carried away, but this is reality with pain pills and these goddam doctors prescribing this crap!! Be careful with pain killers because before you know it your life can be ruined and have absolutly NOTHING left to your name.....

When I broke my leg & had a couple surgeries they prescribed Lortabs which is vicoden. Stuff was real nice. Just for pain, not the inflammation. Way back when I got my wisdom teeth out 20 years ago they prescribed Percodan. It was wonderful too, for a week I was floating. I can understand peope becoming addicted, but man when you really get hurt you want the big guns.

Have you tried Vioxx? It isn't as expensive as Celebrex.

Is viox a non narcotic?

PUSHIN I figured you were kidding...

Drugs are bad MMMmmmcay! I'm not looking for any crazy "wisdom teeth of the goat" cure, just something along the celebrex line...an non narcotic that allows you to function at a normal human(I already have problems attaining this standard)capacity
