Twist throttle?
#2
Twistys are more dangerous One of the only advantagesis that your hand doesnt cramp up. My sister broke her back last week be cause of one. Twistys cause you to panic rev if ou lean back to much. In my opinion Go with thumb but thats just me. Have a blast and be safe!

I like thumb better than twist. If you get in a situation where the quad jerks up then your hand can over rev and over or under you go. I did it once on a Big Red about .... well a while ago. (19yrs) But I remember my first ride with a thumb throttle about 18 years ago. I forgot to release the thumb while squeezing the brake and drove not so softly into a fence. Good ol days.

The twist throttle is good I have them on all my bikes , but if your a novice rider I wouldnt suggest it as it can be dangerous.
Another bad thing about them is you have to play with them alot to get your bike at a perfect idle , but when all said and done its alot more fun not to mention less stress on your thumb.

Twist are no problem.. You use what you feel most comfortable with. They are no different to adjust than a thumb throttle.

Depends on what you are used to, if you have experience with a twist, a quad doesn't act any different than a dirt bike. I think most of the horror stories you hear about quads and twist throttles are folks that had no prior experience with a twist. I rode dirt bikes since I was a kid and recently put a twist on my Raptor, feels more natural and much more throttle control.
