Suzuki plays the role of FOLLOWER really well. They did a knock-off of the Recon (Ozark), the 250EX (Z250), the 400EX (Z400), and now the 450's. If they don't even have a prototype up and running by now, you won't see this machine on a dealers floor for YEARS!

I think the z400 is a pretty fine ATV. One advantage Yamaha and Honda have in the 450 class is their 450cc engines have a few seasons on them already. Yamaha has had a hi output 4-stroke in the very competitive 250cc class since 1997. Their YFZ450 powerplant is the result of many lessons learned using that design.

I would be surprised of Suzuki came out with an RMz450, DRz450, and an LTz450 all in the first year. On the other hand it would be very exciting if they offered a modern LT500R 2-stroke!!!!!

yeah they might follow, they let the other companies come out with quads first and then they make one that is even better, j/k. but they make a nice quad, but that yfz and the 450r are lookin pretty good too. they did try to compete with honda with the new 450, the 250 and 400ex.

The new RMZ450 was released in Japan for a race on Oct. 26 with a japanese champion aboard. So the 450 motor DOES exist. This bike is rumored to be released in the states sometime next summer. I honestly think that motor, with some revisions for ATV use, will find its way into a quad shortly thereafter. A new LTZ 450 sounds pretty good and very probable.

Oh Yeah, I Agree Totally. I Would Consider A Purchase If It Did Come Out. But Money Is The Issue. And Then 450's Will "Suck" Like Everyone Said The Z Does. I Hate It When The Magazines Are Thrilled And Amazed When Something Comes Out, And Then They Hate It To Death 2 Weeks Later. Makes Me Not Even Wanna Buy The Mags. My 2 Cents.
