when i went down a hill i hite both brake and the belt started smoking. i didnt have any throttle on at the end of the hill was a little field of mud . i know it was the belt because it had that smell of rubber.... does anyone know why it happend

This is also new to me. I do alot of hill climbing and have never smoked a belt ever. I would reccomend in the future that if you do a belt swap go with the HPD kevlar belt. This is a heavy duty belt and is almost impossable to burn up. My trailblazer is also a 2000 with tons of mods and have never had any problems being reliable in any way.

Hummm, new one to me too. Maybe the driven clutch is not disengaging all the way... Or the idle speed is set to high and the clutch is staying engaged when it’s at an idle... Dose your quad move when it’s in gear and idling? When you were coming down the hill the clutch had to be still engaged when you hit the brakes...
Hope this helps....

Yep also what trailrider500 said.
Hey trailrider500 what do you think of the difference between the banshee and scrambler. It is not often that you see a yammi and polaris owner. How long have you had your polaris and would you pick anything else along that line of quad. OOPS sorry no one else makes anything like the scrammy. Anyways how do you like the scrammy? I also used to be a banshee owner but am now a little to old to handle a quad like that. My body has taken to much abuse from the banshee and it is starting to catch up with me.

The scrammy is a good quad, I have had it about a year now. Its a power house when it comes to torque its a good all around quad.. I can play were 2x4s cant.. It would be perfect for a person that dont want a crazy ride like a banshee gives you, but you can still have fun with it.. it has good speed for its size and weight.. I have yet to get stuck in mud and i have not had any probs with it always starts up even with the mods i have on it...

Oh so your scrammy is a 4x4? They need to come out with a scrammy 600 or 700. Scrammy 700 efi. Whooo!!! Now that would be the perfect all around quad.
