LAST Night I was In a heated war with some of you about my problems with New Jersey and the law. For those who might think I was a little harsh I'm Truely Sorry!!
But, 1 Of you (1bullmoose) must have not liked what I had to say> well, he is all wrong about me!!! I'm 29 years old and work hard for a living,so,His Remarks about being some Rich teen ager who had mommy and dady buy his quads is NOT TRUE about me!! I paid every cent of my quads.It is easy for him to say all the things he has said because he willnever have a problem because he is some kind of game warden or forest ranger(do realy think the law would give him a problem). Just TRy and come to N.J you'll see.
Also, about being a loser,If I'm such a looser why does all the local shop riding teams ask me to come riding with them.Two of the shops support me and have pushed me into racing.Also I fix ATVs on the side and have been trying to get my own custom atv shop going.Not only that I have supported The AMA for over ten years and tried hard to get open space through the DEP.I I'm not some kind of trouble maker,if anything you all should wish that all people Fought as hard as I have For ATVer Rights.
Now to the person who said that I shouldn't own a ATV,All I can say is GET REAL!! atvs are my life!
I also understand some of the Harm Atvs cause to the Enviroment because In my Job we work closely with U.S.G.S and I have gone over many Problems They cause. But,atvs can't hurt the land if it has already been plowed for a fire trail or Raped for trees and sand mining.These are the lands I ride on. I NEVER LEAVE THE TRAILAND NEVER RUN DOWN TREES.ONE MORE THING I don't care where Anyone ride IT IT DOSEN"T GIVE ANYONE THE RIGHT TO THROW SHOVELS AT 16 YEAR OLD KIDS LIke I saw THis last weekend.

Fixitmatt i didnt see anything wrong with your first post i think that the people that read it took it the wrong way. i have the same problems but instead of stopping i just keep going and dont even look at them. try it it works!!

 

I don't hate you. I haven't been to NJ, so I can only take your word on how the conditions are up there. I believe that you are frustrated with the state and just lashed out. Some people may ahve taken it the wrong way by your first post. But I believe that you tried to elaborate on the situation more in your other posts. Although I don't condone what you did, I am not going to call you names or jusge your character unless I was there and saw it myself[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

I'm Sorry But, I was Pi$$ed off At 1bullmoose because he had though i was Somethink I'm not!!
I will find better words to call him that will still get my point across
To go back , I wil tell most of you that I will Run on My Atv if the police come out for us.The reasons are Easy to understand $1000.00 fines, Lose of quad,Going to jail and them tring to treat us as if we were in a unisured car.Which means Lose Of licence!!As for running someone down I can't say what i would do if I was in the same sich,but, I would Try my hardest to talk my way out of it!!Also Who even believes a 16 year old kid when He said that he got away buy running the guy over>(WHO KNOWS?) I do Know this though, the kid was getting pushed around by a guy who was Somewere In his 40s or 50s and the guy missed hitting him in the head with the shovel by inches.
Last point to help you all understand,I know this man In LACEY N.J. he owns over Miles of land .he ahs been tring to get a ATV park started there for 15 years and the state will not let him.He lets people ride on his land as long as you clean up after yourself.Well, even if you are on his land the police still Write us tickets and stop us from even driving our Trucks to his house if they see us on trailering ATVs. SO THINK ABOUT THAT

Finding places to ride ATV's is getting to be increasingly difficult . In Illinois it has never been legal to operate an ATV on the road , although depending on your location , the laws are not enforced like they could be .

As for myself , I don't spend much time at all on paved roads . If something bad would happen , I would not be covered by any insurance plan that I own . When you ride on the road , you risk everything you own ~~~ not worth it .

With the huge numbers of ATV's being sold and the manufacturers that are doing well in the market I would think the manufacturers have lobbyists and are tossing some cash to the right poeple to make sure folks have places to operate their products .

(A little off topic but just a few thoughts )

On an added note ....

The amount of ATV parts the small state of NJ gets from my shop is unbelievable . The place has got to be saturated with ATV's . Pete Fisher at Powroll has noticed this as well . This may also have an effect on the way law enforcement has came to view them .
