has anyone trided the garmin rino GPS in the desert
#2
i havent, but only because the desert is to far away, cant carry enough fuel to get there, and i dont have that gps. i have used the garmin gps 38 in the forest and unless the trees are really thick no problem . i allways mark the truck location or home and try to preplan some sites to key in before i go on a trip. this gives you a good idea where you compared to the landmarks. great devises to get you there and home again. good luck in your travels

we used them in the gaft of newfoundland... they worked great we have bigger version though. In the far distance signals worked the best you really could hear the other person unless both bikes were stopped. but if you say 3 beeps is stop one beep is a check if you are moving etc... it works great.
