I took my daughter to ride the predator 90 today and she loves it. I still am somewhat interested in the kfx/Lt 80. She will be happy either way, but she is completely thrilled with the predator.

You should take a look at the eton viper 90 if you have not bought the predator yet. The eton has rear disk brakes. Take a look at the atv sport review.

What? No predator owners wanting to chime in? Surely you have something to say

Each of "us parents" are very proud of our specific brands. Like many, I bought a '03 Pred-90 for my 8 year old son. He loves this model for our local mud, snow and bush trail riding. To me, I'm NOT brand specific on the trails, in the bush or having fun around the house. At the end of the day, it's the smile on each of our kid's faces that really matters... Roughly translated, shop around and purchase what's best for you, your kid and where you want to use it.

If you are going to use a quad for track racing, then do your homework very well. Just like car racing, specific brands do matter at the national racing competition level. Each have their upgrade uniquess and costs.

I went today to get a pred 90 for my son. While I was there the saleman allowed another guy to test ride the dinli and the pred 90. The dinli hauled him around with no prob. The pred sputtered around. After seeing this. I decided to wait and look more into the dinli diamond back. The dinli is a ugly machine though. The guy riding the pred decided to get it even though it was quit a bit slower than the dinli. I was hoping that they would have a eton 90 there. All yellow looks good. Saw a review in atv action mag today. Wow. I thought I had my mind made up. The pred here is running $2050 plus tax.

I agree with Spike (Happy kids are the priority) With that said, I would also recommend looking at the Etons. We have a Viper 50 & Viper 90
Both have been great atvs and the kids love the red led lights on the front. We have had both quads in mud & water more than a foot deep
with no problems. Nothing negative to say about the Predator just a giving a little info on our experience with the Etons. One other positive
thing is price .... you can get a viper 90 for $1600.00 no tax, no setup fees at a dealer in Cincinnati OH

We have had no problems with it at all.

I heard the the etons are good also.

If you are not concerned with the cost get the Predator, better suspension, better part availability. Will go plenty fast with factory restrictors removed. Neighbors kid beats the cr@# out of his(jumps like crazy) and runs great.

Bad experience with polaris dealer today on the 90. I called him and confirmed the price of $2200 before I left. A couple of days ago I asked him if he had several 90's in stock and he said yes. When I got there, I told him that I did not want the display. He said, "no problem I'll have my partner prep one for you". I followed him into the shop area. He asked his associate to prep the new 90 and he started cursing and saying there was nothing wrong with the display. Everytime I was at their store the quad was outside; rain or shine. The bumper also was scuffed on one side. I overheard him say "that's the same %ucker that called the other day wanting to know how many 90's we had" (he couldn't see me from where I was standing). After the dealer's right hand man acted like that I opted to leave. I couldn't imagine needing them later with some kind of problem. What a jerk! I stopped at another dealer who carries polaris, kawi, and suzuki. He recommended the Lt/kfx 80 over the polaris pretty strongly. At this point I have decided to go back to the dealer in Tenn. where I got my V-force. I am going to get her the kfx 80. Funny how I left this morning with every intention of getting the predator. After that experience I just lost all interest. I think it was for the best anyway. Just glad I was cool enough to leave there without some kind of confrontation. Glad also that I got to see his true colors up front I wouldn't buy a quad from them at dealer cost now. The main man did try to smooth things over before I left. I'll never be back there again. Sorry so long, had to vent
