Default Rath Racing Airbox Mod??? Quick! Help!

I was wondering if any of you have used the Rathracing Air Box Mod yet? I just startied putting mine on and I can't figure out where to cut the holes for the prefilter. Do the go on the rear of the airbox where those ridges are? Or does it go on the bottom where it is nice and flat, but more exposed to mud and water?

I thought so too, but it doesn't seem to fit right. And additionally, the concave ridges make it hard for the prefilter to match up with the velcro. Has anyone actually used this kit??

Hey Hozed, it looks like you live in some muddy and water laiden area too. How does the clamp-on work for you? Do you have it clamped directly to the carb or did you get it for the intake tube?

The reason that Rath claims 4-6 hp increase is because that engine is really bottled up with that restrictive airbox. This engine really loves to breath. So any extra air it gets, the better it will run. Thats also why it hits the rev limiter with the open air mods, it is finally running up to it's potential. An 11% increase is not so hard to believe.

BTW, I just put it on the rear of the box. It seems OK but, there still could be potential for water to leak in where the prefilter doesn't meet up with the box were the ridges are.
