Have a 89 250R that I converted to a 350RX and would know like to try and install new 400EX plastic onto the machine. I tried a search and came up with nothing. If someone has a link to a previous thread, please post. Otherwise any info regarding this fender swap would be appreciated. I plan on installing a new seat as well.

 

yea met a guy in the chat room that had 400ex plastic on his 250r. it looked really good. he said the fit and finish was better than maier! it takes some modifications but you can get it to work.later

 

Banshee front fender mounts work. you will have to cut out a place for the kicker to stay, cut out the gas tank cover so you can get to your gas tank and you would have to get some kind of headlight assembely nto put in that hole.

 

From what I have been told, 400ex plastic will practically bolt right on the 250r.

Although you will need the 400ex seat and the gas tank cap doesn't line up exactly so the hole will need to be trimmed. Two spacers will be needed for the side panels, the 400 frame is a little wider than the 250r. Also the front latch of the seat base will need to be modified.

 

in dirtwheels or atv acyion they had an article all about how to do that. It said it was real easy and only little mods were needed. it look ed kewl in the end
