I have 26" 589s on my 650 and they are pretty decent. Good in the mud and for hoppin logs. Not too great on the rocks as they are really hard and tend to slide off rather than grab on. I wouldn't buy them again as they are REALLY heavy. Next tire I get is gonna be Mudlites.

I've got the 27" 589's and I'm very happy with them, great traction, better ride and handling(IMO) than the stockers, like mastrblastr says, great in the mud, and overall for the trails where i ride. Pretty good in snow too, as long as it's not too deep cause they will chew till they hit bottom. They seem durable too, I,ve got about 1000km on mine and they don't seem to have worn much from new. Lots of donuts on gravel roads too. As to weight, I know they are heavier than mudlites, but after doing the feel test in my dealership, 27" 589 and 26" mudlite, I couldn't really feel a difference. Hope this helps.

I'm running on 27" 589's with ZERO air pressure. Tires are bead sealed only not bead locked. I love em, they have really impressed me with what they will go over / thru ! The only problem that I've had was because I was jumping a hill and landed on a root... with ZERO psi in the tire, I bent a rim (still stock wheels)..... not too much of a problem to fix, took abot 5 minutes with a small sledge hammer and a scrap 2x4 !
Still amazes everyone at the drag stip.... with 27" mudders aired out that I can do a burnout and run a mid 9 @ 65mph in an 1/8th !

just a little fyi here...
i ordered 27"mudlites for my 700
now im no dummy and i know the 27"designation is only a guide BUT
the 27"mudlites are a whopping 26"tall with 5 lbs of air...thats a difference of an inch...no wonder their lighter...
i went up in pressure to 7 lbs and they grew to 26 1/8" tall, who wants to run that kind of air pressure in a mud tire...
just thought youd like to know
