I HAVE A Z400 AND JUST ADDED A PRO CIRCUIT SLIP ON. I AM CURRENTLY RUNNING STOCK FILTER. WHAT JET SHOULD I USE, ALSO WHAT JET IF I DECIDE TO RUN A DIFFERENT FILTER. AND LID MODDED. ALSO CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE JET ON THIS QUAD. THANK YOU FOR ANY ADVISE THIS FORUM IS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME TO RESEARCH AND USUALLY FIND SOMETHING WITHOUT ASKING. THANKS DAN

 

FSTLTZ400, I don't know what jet to use with that pipe but I took the spark arrestor out of my stock pipe took off the air box lid and I went to a 142 main jet. It seemed to be right on but it hesitated the other day so I'm going to go up to a 145 main. To change the jet there is a black vent box on the right side with one mounting bolt remove the bolt and the top two vent hoses then loosen the two clamps on the carb boot then turn the carb and this will give access to the screws on the bowl. After you remove the bowl there is a plastic splash guard and a jet inside of it this is the main jet. Be careful not to strip the heads one the four srews.
