The grizz is a great machine. The first thing i would do is change the Suspension setting from 2 to 3. the other is to put ITP's big wheel kit on 26" are preffered. Anything over that and it will get tippy. Good Luck

I ahve an 02 and it has never overheated.. I do alot of slow woods riding and hunting stuff too.

I would recommend a winch and some ITP Mudlites in 26" [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Since we are talking about Grizzleys and begginners.. My cousin is interestred in getting a griz or a Polaris 700 twin but he wanted to know if it was to big of a bike to start out with since he has never had one before.. Hes rode them a little bit but not much.. Is it too much to start out with?????

depends on how old he is. i started out with a prairie 650 and now i wish i had something else. my prairie in't very reliable, and i want to know howreliable the grizzly 660 is. i love the way they look with a bigfoot kit.

The over heating problem with grizzly's were mostly in the South Eastern United states. It was actually called Gasoline Boil over. The Gasoline refined in the Virginia/Carolina's region is refined more for some reason then in other regions causing it to have problems. Yamaha figured this problem out by driving from Goergia and buying Gasoline in the Carolina regions and testing it back in Georga at the plant. Just a tidbit

Yes the grizzlies are having problems with the back axles breaking. Yamaha has a recall on them so if you get a grizz then deffinately check this out. I work at a dealership. but other than that they are excellent bikes.
