I was in a spot last weekend where I wanted to back up an embankment but I couldn't because of that d@mn rev limitor on my Raptor. I know there are aftermarket product available to eliminate this annoying limitor. Has anyone done this and if so how does it work and how difficult is it to install?

I have a 02 grizzly and it also has that annoying rev limiter. The rev limiter on the griz works through the reverse light. I don't know if the raptor has the same wiring or not but on the grizzly, under the left side panel is a green wire with a white stripe. I unhooked this wire, then grounded the female end to the motor. Now when i am in reverse the rev light stays out and there is no limiter. Now i have all the power i need in reverse.

 

Pretty much the same with a Raptor, ground the green/white wire under the front sprocket. Your Reverse light won't work but it's a quick, cheap way to get rid of the rev limiter.
