If I were to get a Raptor
#1
Seriously thinking about a Raptor. For all you keen fellow quadsmen you'll remember that I also posted 'Does the Raptor really need 2 carbs?' All that aside- I can manage the 2 carb setup, what my concerns are is the transmission. Were they all OK after 2002? If thats the case then I'm diving in. I'll switch to a simgle carb/ manifold and pirate the recoil backup starter from the 660 Grizzly... My I have your input fellow Raptor owners, good or bad.... Thank you.........

02' and up will be fine. And if your a gambling man Some of the 01's are ok as well, but its defiantely a game of russian rullet..... Even with the 02' and up you will encounter the junk one-way bearing, very poorly designed airbox/filter setup, and the weak clutches. But aside from that....smooth sailing.
