Default DS90 & Xtreme 100 Performance Upgrades Quest.

I have one of each of these and I am looking to do some upgrades. What are the best upgrades for the price? The overall speed is Ok but I would like them to be quicker - is re-gearing them a good option? Do the replacement CDI to get rid of rev limiter do a a lot for performance? Do either of these of any performance limiters that can be removed, exhaust, carb, rpm etc.?

Default DS90 & Xtreme 100 Performance Upgrades Question

Appartently there's not a whole lot of people on hear or on any of the ATV forums who have the ds90's.I bought a couple of them for kids for Christmas. The price was right and the dealer was good. But I have seen little info on them other than one post saying something about the carb, exhaust and messing with the tranny and changing to a 28 tooth sprocket.I'm wondering if the kids will notice the lack of suspension on the ds90 and wish there was something to do about it.I think there is a lack of after market stuff for the ds90 at this point.I'm new to these little quads but I may need to find a better rear shock, but then again they may not notice.

Default DS90 & Xtreme 100 Performance Upgrades Question

Hey guys, contact mister hp at omwracing@yahoo.com. He has helped some tt racers go faster in the stock class- in fact, 1st and 2nd overall points went to 2 DS90's in his local series. I know that the ds90 doesn't have a rev limiter. There is a spark arrestor screen in the end of the silencer that slows it down. Some year models had a washer welded in the air intake snorkel. Going to a 28t rear sprocket makes a big difference. Placing a high flow air box on the carb and rejetting helps also. These mods alone almost doubled the distance against a stock ds90 in a 300 ft race. He also has some wheel spacers to make them wider.

Default DS90 & Xtreme 100 Performance Upgrades Question

Hello from Australia

I have x2 DS 90's and have just started doing mods to the motor. I first had the head machined and compresson raised, the standard heads are in need of a lot work, I then had the exhuast port lifted and cleand up, put it back together changed the rear muffler took off the oil injection and man this smokes the rear tyres on the tar seal. with these mods it give the quad heaps of get up and go from take off it does flaten out quick but gets there rear fast. The next move is to put on a 28mm pwk carb and a K&N filter. The filter will go where the oil tank was which will keep a lot of dirt of it, these mods will give it more top speed and rev out better.
