Default L&R one way bearing

Just curious as to what this is. I have seen referance made to this being a problem on the Raptor and am keen to find out more information on as to what exactly it is and what the problem is with it.

Cheers

Dave

Default L&R one way bearing

The L&A one way bearing is a replacement for the junk original equipment oneway bearing. What the one way does is when engaged with the starter "locks" to say on the crankshaft and turns the motor to fire the engine. On the OEM version It is VERY poorly designed and is guarentted to fail, its just a matter of time. Yamaha refuses to address the problem, and so each new model yr still has the same faulty oneway. Hence why L&A has come up with a far superior design. Its Waaay beefier and should hold up for the rest of the motor life. Plus it has a one yr warranty I really think its the only way to go.
