Default CaliRaptor...a question...

How does your rappy run with the Wiesco 11:1 and the Stage One Hot Cam????

Do you still run 93 pump gas or what???

Did you get good power from that combination, and around how much did it run you???

Also, do you have your head ported and polished or no????

Default CaliRaptor...a question...

I put them on not long ago and both provided GOOD power gains. More power over the entire powerband, dont know if its the jetting or cam, but Im pulling hard and then all of a sudden I just feel the engine pull harder!!! I run 91 with octane boost and hasnt pinged. I need to adjust my valves again and I will tell if it improves a bit. Cam was $106 shipped(ebay), piston was $110(local shop) i think, gaskets was another $40 and I put it together with the help of raptortranny.com. I did all this in one weekend! I didnt port, just cleaned it up a bit with small grinder and some porting/polishing tools. Im very pleased with the results being its a stock bore and stage 1 cam! Dont think any raptors can keep up with me here locally.

Awesome. I'm definetly going to get the port and polish for my Raptor this winter.

And I'm going to stay with a stock bore and stage one or two cam. I have just been wondering how hard it is to switch out the stock valve springs to titanium valve springs. I know it will cost me $60 to get them adjusted at the dealership. But I don't know how hard they are to install. So that will make the differnce in stage one or stage two cam.

But thanks for the info. I'm definetly going to do something like your setup over this winter. I have a couple guys around here that can install the piston and cam with their eyes closed.

But thanks for the information. I'm really looking forward to the new power that comes with the new mod's I'm going to install this winter.

Next step will be getting a full exhaust, probably a Sparks just dont know yet. With the new mods, I can pull away EASY from my friends piped/jetted raptors and will stomp over any slightly modded banshee. I would recommend these mods if you dont want to bore, its easy, cheap and gives good power. I just followed the instructions on the website and it was a piece of cake! Ive rebuilt tons of big blocks and it was real easy and fun too! You will love your quad even more once you do these mods!

No doubt. I love my quad now...and will love it even more when I get the new piston and cam and those other mod's. But if your getting a full system pipe, I must reccomend the Alba Pipe. You already have the K&N filter and stuff, so you would just have to get a stage one or stage two system which includes the jets, pipe, and header. Man does the Alba System sound good. My quad sounds like a Harley, and it gave me a ton of torque through the low and mid range. It also helps on the top end. Wow it's great.

I have beat several piped Raptors.....Big Gun, Yoshimura, and a couple White Brothers systems....all that had jets and air filters. So that told me something.

I have even beat several banshee's that are lightly modded and some that are starting to get built pretty good(cool head, advance key, and pipes). So I definetly reccomend the Alba System, and I can't wait to get my mod's.
