what is the top speed on both thes atvs and who better in the trails and hillclimbs

 

Dont know the top speeds but dirtwheels did a shootout and the Z won! if your the kinda guy that wants the fastest bike get the rap but other than that the Z is a better machine better handling and you can hop it up to run wit the rap, its also cheaper

 

go with the z400. they both have reverse which is good for the trails but the raptor is like 398 pounds and that'll be harder to get unstuck than the Z (like 375lbs i think). also the Z is cheaper and you could probably use the money you saved from not buying a raptor to get one or two mods on the Z and probably take the raptor. my friend has a Z400 its geared and all stock, it runs about 73. Someone poster a chart of recent ATV's top end speed and the raptor was at 76 (the Z wasnt listed). go with the Z unless your more of a yamaha fan and want to spend the extra money. the Z gives you more bang for your buck [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

where did u see a stock raptor at 76mph?always thought they were 72. i gueses tho if the rev limiter is set up dif on different bikes, but please tell me where u say this.

 

no a stock raptor is around 74-77 it depends on rider weight, wind resistance
