Default Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin in my pickup bed???

Will a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin with an 81" length as described on the web site fit into the bed of my 1004 GMC Sierra 2500 pickup with the gate closed. The pickup has the 6' bed option.

My Prairie 700 doesn't fit but it's 86" long and just misses. Any insight would be appeciative.

I have a 'normal' sized shortbed, which I believe has a 6' 8" bed length. You need all of that to get the ATV in and it will touch the front of the bed and touch the tailgate when the gate is closed.

Not a chance, My 600 sits right on the edge without the tailgate, and that's with a 6'3" bed. It'll work with the tailgate down if your gate can take the weight.

My 03 700 won't fit in a 2002 Z71 with tail gate up(same size bed as yours) but I have the Polaris brushguard on front. It looks like it probably wouldn't quite make it any way. You sure your truck is a 1004 model?

I had to take a couple 2x4's and make a platform in the bed of my S-10 in order to fit my Scrambler in teh back of it. You could always do the same thing. I just took the boards and cut them the width of the bed and set them in the notches that are in the front part of the bed of the truck. After I put them in I added to support/cross bars and they platform was real solid.

Then you just drive the bike in the back of the truck and run the front tires up the wheel wells and onto the platform. When its in place the front end will be sitting with the tires about to the top of the bed sides and the rears will be just inside the tailgate. At least thats how it was with my Scrambler in the back of my S-10. It looked funny goign down the road like that but it worked and had no problems. I am sure it would be the same for you in your full size with the bigger 4 wheeler.

My buddy has a 2004 700 with brushguard and his fits in his 2002 Ford 3/4 crew cab(has the shortbed). His wheels hit the tailgate when closed, but it fits. Probably doesnt help here, but it might.........who knows!?!?!?!?
