Just received a new Tusk shifter from RockyMtn, it was just like the stocker (uses the stupid linkage). So i am sending it back and getting the Pro Design. Just wanted a little feedback on it. Does it bolt directly to the shift shaft?

 

I'm pretty sure that it is a direct shifter. I use the 20 dollar IMS Steel shifter and it works great!

 

where did you get it?

 

I use that cheapo shifter too, pretty good shifter

 

I special ordered it from a local bike shop....it came out to like 25 total...I've also seen it on Ebay.

 

the pro design was 70 should i cancel the order and get the ims steel or just the pro design?

Well, that depends on you. The IMS shifter isn't as "pretty" as the Prodesign, but it will probably work as well. Also the prodesign will probably be a lot ligther. So just depends if you want spend the extra dough.

 

I got mine off e-bay. I'm sure it was about $20. Works awsom.

 

thanks for the input i guess i will just get the ims it is a christmas gift from my mom.
