i dont get to ride near enough and it is winter. so i was wondering if
starting my baja x stock and letting it idle for 10 or 15 minutes couple times
a week will do any damage. wish i could get more seat time but kids and work keep
me away. you guys out east keep putting those warm looking pics up.there great.

I fired mine up for the first time in three weeks yesterday. The X stays in my 16'x14' shed. I noticed she doesn't run well until the engine is warmed up (hot), not just warm. I'm on vacation/holiday until January 5th so I'm going to get a 20 or 25 foot rope from Lowe's and pull the kids around the yard with their Rubbermaid (plastic) sled.

The answer is--maybe. Does anyone with the manual know if oil is pumped to the gearbox, if our bike has a splash type oil system then it is not recomended. I found that out on a CR500 the hard way $$$ and a siezed gearbox.
Hey Oz, Baja has a j in it no h check your sig.

When I go out and start mine in the winter, I jack up the back end and let it run while in gear. This way everything is lubed. Just make sure it doesn't fall off of the jack, it makes one heck of a crash into the garage wall.
