Default scrambler sparkplug wire?

hey guys,i was out riding today and my machine just quit on me,i found the problem.what happened is the contact point on the resistor cap burnt out,so the wire wouldnt hold itself to the plug.thankfully i was riding the sand hills at the local recycle center.i ended up pulling the resistor cap off and crimped on a connecter from a lawnmower that i found in the pile that was there, anyway i now need a new plugwire&cap and im wondering how does it connect to the coil?can i just pull it off and put on a new one or is there more to it?thanks for the help..

i have a service manual,it shows a picture as the coil and the plug wire as 1 piece and the resistor cap can be removed, but it doesnt say or show any more about it,also partsland.com doesnt sell just the wire
the sell the coil&wire togrther and the resistor cap seperate..it kinda looks like ill need to buy the whole coil
