I have a 98 Explorer 4by4 2-stroke. I know only a few people on this forum have the Explorers with pipes. So , what did the rest of you see in gains on your 400 scramblers. Cause you have the basic same motors. I would like to put a pipe, clutch-kit, and jet kit maybe. So far the only combo I've found is Rick Ritter(rcr).
Also my dealer likes HDP ,but they don't make one for my Explorer. Please give me help soon so I can get it and get it on their fast.

Thanks, Hoolio.

I have the same ride and asked the same question a while back. Not many people with this quad/mods... I read in one of those "magazines" that the pipe adds 10 h.p. to the Xplorer400! But does a pipe help the whole power band???

I think RCR is suppossed to make 8hp on top end and gain power in all bands. I'm gonna go with this setup in a few weeks cause I need to fix my truck 1st. But when I do I'll let you know how it works.
