I have a FTZ in frame and a old oval Answer silencer that was shortened 3 inches, and its pretty loud. Whats a quiet silencer that still makes power? Is the FMF Q Silencer good? Thanks

 

any silencer that has a quiet core to it. FMF isnt bad. LRD is a good silencer to go with.

 

i have a Q on mine, and quite honestly it doesnt sound like it is quieter; the TONE changed to slightly deeper, but the db sounds the same. i havent checked it with my meter, but it seems like it it just hype. unfortunately stock willl be probably be the quietest.

 

Yes LRD makes a silencer that is longer than normal and iv heard it is quieter than all the rest, but a bit more expensive.

 

the FMF Q is longer than normal as well but doesnt do anything significant as far as reducing db's. i would like to hear LRD's though...

 

Ok thanks guys. What is the model number or name of that LRD silencer?

 

BTW, is there any 2 stroke bikes or quads that have stock quiet silencers, yet still make decent power and are not too bulky? I could always make one fit with a new braket and maybe a new tube from the pipe.
