Default What the *#!^ happened

Well i was riding today and i came around a turn and went to down shift, let on on the clutch and nothing, so i clicked down another gear and nothing, so i stop and went through all 5 gears and nothing. I thought thats weird it has a new clutch what the_uck. U could put in gear and it would still roll, so i didnt have a clue, i thought man thats a long walk back. After 10 mins of cussing i got to thinking why it would roll in gear, so i looked to see if the chain was on and it was. Set there a little bit and got a brainfart and looked at the front sprocket well hey the nut was missing and the sproket was off the splines, Man! what a relieve so i put the sproket back on the splines and cruised back hoping it wouldnt come and it didnt. I thought i was going to have to go through the trans, but i just have to get a nut. If shes lucky ill get two. haha

lol! My quad did that at Glamis last year! Man, thank GOD the pros (and you know who you are) helped me out! It could have also been the clutch finally giving out. From my experience, when the clutch starts to slip, there really isnt much time left before it goes completely and leaves you with the same symtoms. Glad you hear you made it out!

Lets see thats my brothers DS, Markys DS and DumontRaptors Raptor that this has happened to that I've been around. Seems a new nut and lock washer would be a good investment to add to the box of spare parts that go on each trip.

Will I be smart enough to do it? Probably not. LOL

I ordered a new aluminum sprocket guard and as I was installing it I noticed mine had back almost all the way off. Just luck I caught it.

If your ever out riding and need a quick fix, the Swing arm Pivot bolt has 2 big nuts on it, one is used as a "jam" nut to lock the other. ANyway these are the same size as the Counter sprocket nut, you could use one to get you through the day

Yep, that swing arm pivot nut saved my bro for a week in Montana and that's how we got Marky out of the middle of the dunes.
