Default Need help with my Warn Winch on Grizz

I got it all bolted on and cleanly ran the wires back, but I'm starting to think something is wrong. The kit had 2 boxes. One Warn Winch box with the winch, a mounting plate/bracket, and a fairlead. The second box was the Grizz mounting kit. It consisted of a mounting plate/bracket, and a fairlead. I put that bracket on and the roller fairlead, ran wiring, and bolted on the winch. It all looks right, works, but the fairlead does not prevent the cable from rubbing on the mounting bracket. Do you need to use both brackets and both fairleads? It does not appear possible to use them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Does anyone have any pictures specifically of the winch on the quad? Know where I can get one? I've running out of places to seek info from. A nice closeup would answer my questions, preferably not a dead on front shot. It appears that earlier models had the winch mounted on a shelf for lack of a better term, using U bolts. Mine is not like that, did they change that at some point? Mine is a 2004 if that helps.
Again, thanks,

All i have used was the warn winch mount specific for grizzly's and the fairlear mount that came with the winch. The mounting is all the same for the grizzly's I haven't had any trouble with it hitting anything. I have a warn 3.0ci not that it makes any difference.

I think I have my problem fixed. If I re-spool the winch cable so it comes off the top rather than from the bottom, (kind of like toilet paper it should no longer rub. Only issue will be that the switch will work backwards. Does your cable route from the bottom of the spool or over the top?

Photo's are Here ----> http://profiles.yahoo.com/redgrizz2002

Running the cable the opposite way will not work very well the freespool function would not work and there would be a lot of stress on the fairlead mount and the winch. Look at the drawing (sorry for the lack of detail ) Nothing should be rubbing anywhere. Where exactly is this happening anyways?

Yama4X4- I ended up running out the cable all the way, and noticed what you said about the way it is connected. I ended up turning the winch so when you look at the front, the clutch is now on the left side and the wiring runs off the right side. Toggle switch direction is still ok, and freespool still works. and the cable runs off the top which mine has to because if you kneel down and look through the fairlead, the cable goes straight through it, and straight onto the top of the winch spool. When the cable came off the bottom from the winch it went up at a 45 angle and then horizontally through the fairlead, which caused it to rub on the mounting plate. I'm having trouble seeing your pictures, I only get the profile page that shows you in some deep mud (looks nice though!).

tb1602- The page 4 of the manual shows the winch mounting to a bracket which has the non roller fairlead, however even if I did have that it would have rubbed in my instance. Looking sideways or kneeling near a front tire, does the bottom of your winch mount horizontally on a shelf (for lack of a better term) or does it mount at the angle the front frame tubes follow (diagonally)?

Thanks for answering everyone, I really appreciate the help. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Can't you just turn the winch around 180 degrees to reverse the way the wire wraps?

Yes mine is horizontal. Some after market mounts do mount at an angle. I didn't like that design and went with the warn mount. And you only need the roller fairlead.
