Default 250R Bearing Carrier, Please Help!

I noticed that the axle on my 250R is closer to the bottom of the swingarm than it is to the top. I have always heard that the axle was supposed to be closer to the top. What will the current setup hurt? Should I change it? I should just be able to roll the axle over and fix the problem? At least I hope!

This is something new to me. If you look at the bearing carrier you will see that the axle is not centered in it. The reason is that when you rotate it, it losens or tigitens up the chain. check your chain, most of the time when the axle has been rotated to the bottom the chain has to many links or it is worn out. Grab the chain on the rear sproket at about the 3 o'clock position and see if it pulls away from the sproket very much. If it comes away enought that you could slide a pencil in between the sproket and the chain. You need a new chain and also get sprokets at the same time.
