synthetic or not

Default synthetic or not

should I use synthetic in my Z? Any performance or heat disipation difference?

syn supposedly does not allow engine ware, my vin seems to run much smoother and consistant with it, although make sure it is not going to make your clutch slip.

ooooooo...thats right I forgot that I have a wet sump set up. How bad would it be ... the auto-clutch would slip too?

And would it cut back on engine noise or run more quiet? The engine actually isnt making that much noise per se but you deffinitly know what is going on in there if you know what I mean by that.

i have heard no syn for a wet sump. my 230 will slip real bad with the syn, so i say no

Ive been using syn oil for years, never had a clutch slip yet.
I use it in the winter, it flows much easier than conventional oil, so the motor turns over faster which means it starts easier. There are many brands of syn oil, specific for motorcycles and atvs. I wouldnt hessitate to put it in any motor, wet or dry sump.

Just use synthetic oil made for dirtbikes and quads. (for wet clutch systems) If you use synthetic oil for cars in your quad you're just asking for trouble....
