Do longer arms push as bad as spacers?
#1
I was wondering if anyone had used front wheel spacers for a 400ex and later bought longer a arms. I used the spacers for a day and took them off. They made the quad push real bad. I have spacers in the back and they work perfectly and i wanted to widden out the front. Will +2 arms push as bad as the spacers did? Any response will be appreciated.

Extended a-arms do not push at all because the leverage on the sterring knuckle is the same as stock.
Front wheels spacers or flipping the front wheels around makes the quad handle like crap on rough terrain and will destroy your front bearings and possible bend your tie rods.

Hey how well do your rear wheel spacers work I was wanting to get a pair for my 03 400ex I was thinking 5" overall on the rear how big are yours and do they perform well are they prone to bend and break. I was looking at a set on Ebay are they noticible or does it look like you have a wider axle.

the wheel spacers i have are durablue, they are probably the best thing i have ever bought for my quad, they add 5 extra inches, 2.5 on both sides, the difference in looks is really noticeable, it doesnt really look like an extended axle, but the way the spacers look are really sweet, i race motocross with mine and i have never had a problem, the are really strong, the only thing i have noticed, since they are putting extra leverage on the hubs, the bolts holding the hubs on came loose, i tightened every thing down real tight and they havent came loose again, i would definately recommend buyin these, just dont get the front spacers, i tried those, they are terrible, hope this helps

What makes your motor so rare and fast is it not stock. I have a 03 400ex with a WhiteBrothers cam a WhiteBrothers Revbox, WhiteBrothers R4 exhaust, K&N filter motoforce airbox lid. It's fast I'am thinking of putting a JE WhiteBrothers 416 kit witrh all those mods it will be a rocket so your wheel spacers come loose easy I pretty much ride in the sand and do alot of hill climbing do jump a whole lot do you jump alot in motocross I heard wheel spacers are not good to jump with do yours hold up and do they hold tight or always come loose.

i ride my quad pretty hard, especially in motocross, they have never cracked and there are some pretty big jumps on the track i race at, the only thing that has ever came loose was the entire hub because the spacers add extra force on the hubs, even if the hub bolt comes loose, it can never fall off as long as your have the cooter pin through the bolt, its wierd only the left side has come loose, if u tighten the lug nuts and the hub bolt tight, you wont have a problem, with my motor being rare, i noticed this when i was racin other 400exs, i had my quad dynoed completely stock(even jettin) and it was about 1 hp greater than a 400ex(already broken in) in their showroom which they dynoed as well, some motors are just assembled perfectly, like every part just fits exactly right

There is a WhiteBrothers power up kit for around 800.00 but see I bought all the parts seperatly and add a few different parts the 416 kit is about 300.00 for the good one see I ran all WhiteBrothers parts because its best too match all your parts because there syncronized that way and WhiteBrothers parts are race winning proven.
