The best starting out kit would be the RCR stage 1 kit it really is the best bang for your buck, and Rick Ritter the owner of RCR has very good tech support, you can call him and he will help in anyway he can.. The kit is $325 and he has free shipping... Here is his site---RCR

The kits are good, but i think you are going to be unsatisfied in the long run..The only way you are going to be satisfied is if you go with a reed conversion kit. You can only do so much the other way. The reed conv. will make it as strong as the 400. Other than that..If you are just looking for just a little mor pep then the rcr kit will do you fine, but i have been ther and done that . The best person to talk to is Dennis from AZ BAD BOYZ www.users.qwest.net/~ddjshotwell/ or DDJshotwell@qwest.net

AZ BAD BOYZ did the whole thing for 1800...You can look at hpd...they have a kit also, but they do not have one for the nonconcentric and az does....You might be able to install yourself, but it is all in the clutching and that gets perty tricky

AZ Bad boys works awsume . I have mine on a 95 TrailBlazer an I raced agienst a 96 with the HPD race porting. I I pull him with on the streights. If you are going to do the Reedcage form Az bad boyz then don't get porting done by someone else because it might interfer with his porting. I won the class championship this year with it an beat them on the strights an short burst runs from corner to corner.I never had any problem allways ran an ran strong every race.Dennis can help you alot an if you know how to put the top end on then you can do it.

I would aggree with Trailrider. Not saying anything bad about the reed conversion, but that may be alittle more cash than you would want to put into it if you're not going to race. Add that cash to what I paid for mine, and I could have gotten the 400 with cash to spare.
