Will it hurt anything if I run my 400 without the wool? All the guts in my DG pipe rusted out and the wool blew out. The thing is it kinda sounds nice without the wool.

 

Pipes require a certin amount of backpressure and heat to work correctly. so it may affect the performance of the pipe. A pipe not working right may cause a lean condition that could hurt the engine. I think you well be fine but there is the possabilty of damage.

No it stock 2003 plastic I don't know if it's different than other years.

try to find some silencer packing for your silencer (if your silencer is repackable). that should help your performance if you've lost any

Well... I just packed it about 2 months ago, but the perforated tube inside took a ***.I kinda wanted to take a lil ride tomorow, but if if thers a chance that ill crack a ring or somethin ill just stay put. (but man it sounds mean w/o it!)

 

Yeah you should get a new one then becuase my brother cut his stock exaust off and tried to make a strait pipe untill his engine started running funny .. he then put an LRD exaust on and it ran fine..

 

I got on DG's web site and got the phone number. Im gonna see if I can just get a new inner pipe instead of a whole new silincer . I have plenty of wool but theres no pipe to wrap it around. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
