Why is everyone ripping on the 400ex's, they arent as bad as everybody says. The suspension i think is better than a raptor and raptors dont get picked on and plus the 400ex's have better lap times than a raptor dont they. I do agree the z400s are better in just about every way but just by a little bit, not enough to be kicked out of all the shootouts, i still love the 400s.

the 400ex is a great quad no matter what anyone says. I ride a z400 whice is what I chose but I still think the 400ex is a greatall around machine and can be modified into a great race quad.

The 400 is a great machine, but just underpowered by todays standards. It should probably be considered the king of the sport bikes, rather than a performance bike. If you are a trail rider, all the extra power that the other bikes have, is just wasted.

Boy where have you been donesent get riped on? You mean doesent get ripped on for being a pile of poo? man you just opened a can of worms, a big 30oz economy size can, not just a little 10oz can. but the 40ex has problms too, like second gear has gone out on quite a few of them and the front supension doesnt last long if you beat the living crap outta it, but the 400ex hasnt been plagued by nearly as many problems as the craptor. i dont have anything against craptors or anything, they just have alot of flaws.

 

Recon 2001, read the yamaha forums. The Raptor gets ripped on more than ANYTHING.
